400 web developers, designers, and
publishers attended the first ever jQuery conference held in Asia. Seven jQuery
Foundation board members along with three professionals from Samsung and
Incross spoke at the conference, providing attendees with the latest jQuery and
HTML5 developments and trends.
According to the jQuery Mobile team, South Korea is the most popular
country for jQuery Mobile development in the world and was more than pleased to
visit Seoul for the conference. Several sessions utilized “DaVinci Studio” to demonstrate HTML5 dev
tips, as it is a new, state of the art dev tool perfect for creating web app
and rich media content. DaVinci has a structure based on jQuery and also
completely supports HTML5 & CSS3 standards, thus making DaVinci Team the
perfect host for this historic event.
Last minute registrants lined up from eight
in the morning, filling the Renaissance Hotel ballroom for a full house.
The conference provided devs in Asian
districts with an excellent opportunity, not only to get a hold of hot jQuery
information, but to actually meet and converse with jQuery board members. It
was a day of technological as well as cultural exchange mixed in with delicious
Korean BBQ.
DaVinci Team plans to continue to work
closely with jQuery and make the conference an annual event, planning the next
jQuery Conference Asia for 2013.
